I’ve published two from a series of letters I’m writing between fictional couples, a device used to explore these places more emotionally, and to avoid the “this hotel, this restaurant, this museum...” rhetoric. These letters also allow me to express a certain melancholy that stems from the loneliness of travel. They question why we travel, the development of tourism and our relationship with histories.
